GENERAL FACILITY RULES
General Facility Rules
- All persons entering the pool enclosure, including supervising adults, must pay the appropriate fees.
- No person may use the pool unless it is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty.
- Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older to enter the facility.
- All persons should take a cleansing shower before entering the pool.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted.
- In case of rash, skin disease, or open sores, a written statement from a physician will be required before admission is granted.
- Coolers, jugs, food or drinks may not be brought into the facility.
- Glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the facility.
- Swimsuits Only! Cutoffs, thongs, t-shirts with designs, basketball shorts, bras, tank tops or other swimsuits determined inappropriate by management will not be permitted.
- Patrons are allowed to wear a plain white t-shirt or colored swim shirt on all features excluding the slides and diving boards.
- Paper or cloth diapers are not prohibited in the pool. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the Kenwood Cove front desk. Diapers must be changed at the diaper changing stations in the locker rooms or restrooms.
- Smoking or use of tobacco is not permitted within the facility or within 10 feet of any city building.
- All trash must be placed in containers provided.
- Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose, and so on, are not permitted in the pool. Persons having to expectorate must use the scum-trough provided for such a purpose.
- No swimmers will be allowed in the pool during electrical storms.
- Foreign objects including rocks, towels, etc. are not permitted in the pools.
- Patrons are not to visit with guards while on duty.
- All swimmers must supply own suits and towels.
- Patrons are not allowed to loiter or play near land or water entries. This includes entrance gates, handicap access entrances to the water, all ladders, stairs and rails.
- Floatation devices and water toys (i.e. balls, life-belts, inner tubes, squirt guns, rafts, etc.) are subject to the approval of the pool staff. All personal floatation devices must be Coast Guard approved and are not allowed to be worn on any feature. Arm floaties are not allowed!
- The City of Salina or pool staff is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
- No running at any time.
- Dunking, pushing or rough play is not allowed.
- Abusive or profane language is prohibited.
- Towel snapping or towel fighting is not allowed.
- For your safety, diving is only allowed from the diving boards.
- No back dives, flips, preacher seats or can openers allowed off the side of pool.
- Playing on lifeguard towers is prohibited.
- Patrons are not allowed to carry other patrons on their back in the water or on land.
- Whenever additional rules are deemed advisable for the proper protection of health and safety of participants, the management is authorized to issue and place into effect such rules either printed or verbal.
- If there is any question in regard to these regulations or some that may be put into effect, the Aquatics Manager shall be contacted.
Diving Board Rules
- Divers must be comfortable in deep water. Divers may be asked to perform a swimming test.
- T-shirts of any kind, goggles, masks or floatation devices are not to be worn while using the diving boards.
- One person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
- Only one bounce allowed.
- Divers must jump or dive straight off board (no back dives, back flips or back jumps etc.).
- Divers must enter water with both arms over head.
- Please use the nearest ladder to exit the diving well.
- Patrons are not allowed to swim in the diving well even if the diving boards are not in use.
Pool Basketball Rules
- No touching rim or net.
- Players must be in the water to participate.
- No rough play.
Lazy River Rules
- Please enter and exit the lazy river only at designated areas.
- Riders must remain in tubes at all times if under 18 years of age.
- One rider per single tube, two riders per double tube.
- No horseplay on tubes (pushing, rocking, hitting, etc.)
- No diving anywhere along river.
Zoom Flume Raging River Slide Rules
- Riders must be in good physical condition.
- Minimum height requirement is 48" tall.
- Ride can be stressful for riders with fear of heights or high speeds.
- Tipping over is possible on this ride.
- Maximum rider weight is 220 pounds.
- Riders must stay on inner tubes at all times.
- Only single inner tubes are allowed.
- Riders must be in good health. Elderly persons, those suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or persons using prescription medication should consult their physician before using this slide. Individuals with medical conditions including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart, or back problems should not ride.
- Do not use this slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Rider assumes all risk of injury due to misuse of this slide or failure to follow these rules.
- No tubes, mats, or life jackets are permitted on the waterslide.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotation, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.
Body Slide Rules (Blue Cyclone & Purple Twister)
- Follow lifeguard’s instructions.
- All riders must be at least 48" tall.
- Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.
- Non-swimmers are not permitted.
- All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed across their chest. Do not go down the slide head first. Do not sit up while riding the slide.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.
- Do not propel yourself into the ride.
- Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotation, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.
- No tubes, mats, or life jackets are permitted on the waterslide.
- No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cut off jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation; only approved swim suits allowed.
- The line should form on the deck with one rider on each landing and one rider in the starter tub. Wait until landing area is clear before entering.
- Riders must be in good health. Elderly persons, those suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or persons using prescription medication should consult their physician before using this slide. Individuals with medical conditions including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart, or back problems should not ride.

Inner Tube Slide Rules (Green Monster & Funderstorm)
- All riders must be at least 48" tall.
- Maximum operational load for single tube – 1 person, 300 pounds.
- Maximum operational load for double tube – 2 persons, 600 pounds. The heavier rider should sit behind the lighter rider.
- Non-swimmers are not permitted.
- Only one inner tube to enter the flume at a time.
- Tubes should be ridden in a seated position while leaning back, facing forward. Do not stand up or ride the tube on your stomach. Do not go down the slide head first.
- Riders must stay on the tubes during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube continue on down the flume without it and exit normally.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotation, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.
- Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
- No mats or life jackets are permitted on the waterslide.
- No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cut off jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation; only approved swim suits allowed.

- This is a thrill ride not intended for all individuals.
- All riders must be at least 48" tall.
- Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.
- Non-swimmers are not permitted.
- All riders must ride feet first with ankles crossed while lying on their back with their hands crossed across their chest. Do not go down the slide head first. Do not sit up or stand up while riding the slide.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.
- Do not propel yourself into the ride.
- Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotation, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.

Family Fun Slide Rules
- All riders on this slide must be supervised by a parent or other responsible adult.
- Minimum ride height 36" tall.
- Maximum rider weight is 200 pounds for a single rider.
- No more than three riders at a time permitted. Riders are to sit side by side only and not in front of the other.
- Non-swimmers are not permitted.
- Riders may lie on their back feet first with arms crossed or ride sitting up feet first with their hands at their sides. Do not go down the slide head first. Do not sit up or stand up while riding the slide.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.
- Do not propel yourself into the ride.
- Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotation, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.

Catch Pool Rules
- Do not block the end of the slide.
- Guardians are not allowed to catch their children at the end of any slide.
- Exit the splash area immediately.
Soggy Bottoms Kiddie Area Rules
- A parent or adult must supervise children 8 years of age and under at all times.
- If the play element is fabricated with foot rests and hand grips then the rider shall participate in a responsible and safe manner by utilizing these features at all times.
- Slide one at a time in a forward seated position, feet first. For safety reasons please do not place children on laps when sliding. DO NOT slide headfirst.
- Slides are for going down only, no climbing up, or stopping.
- When exiting the slide, please immediately leave the slide landing area.
- Please walk.
- Horseplay is not allowed.
- The floatables and slides in the play pool are designed and intended for use by small children and toddlers. Weight limits are not to exceed 100 total pounds on any one component at a time.
- Participants must be in good health. Individuals with health related problems such as heart or back conditions should not participate in the activity pool.
Locker Rules
- You may bring your own lock to put on a locker.
- Combination locks are available to purchase at the Kenwood Cove Front Desk.
- Please remove locks at the end of each day.
- Any locks left on the lockers will be cut off at the end of each day.
- Hanging on or slamming locker doors is prohibited.
- Do not loiter or play near locker area.
- The City of Salina and its staff are not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
Obstacle Course Rules
- Experienced swimmers only.
- Only one climber at a time.
- Only one swimmer at a time in the Drop Zone.
- Feet first entries only. No diving, flips or launching off lily pads.
- Exit pool using ladder at the side of the pool.
- All climbers must be 48" tall.
- Floatation devices are not permitted.
WARNING: Failure to follow rules can result in serious injury
Anyone failing to obey rules or instructions, either verbal or written, may be ejected from the pool without refund of admission fee.
