Marginal Weather Opening Policy

Kenwood Cove will open if the air temperature is 72 degrees or warmer and the sky is clear. On cloudy days, the air temperature must be at least 75 degrees in order to open. Additional factors such as water temperature and the forecast for the day will also be taken into consideration. Aquatic staff suggests patrons call ahead to ensure that the facility will be open. Weather conditions will be checked at 8:30am (on Swim Lesson days), at 12:00pm and again at 3:00pm.

Job opportunites are available for staff positions at Salina's Kenwood Cove Waterpark. Join your friends, have some fun, get some sun!

Soak up some sun and work on your tan, at the area’s best summer job. We’re looking for a few good men and women to work at Kenwood Cove, including licensed lifeguards and those interested in working elsewhere in the park.

Must be able to work the duration of the 12-week summer season: mid-May to mid-August.

LIFEGUARD
(15 yrs. of age or older) - Works under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager and/or Assistant Aquatics Manager. Duties: responsible for enforcing waterpark rules & regulations; ensures the safety of all waterpark patrons; assists with cleaning & upkeep of waterpark facilities. Experience: must have valid & current lifeguard training course certification; prior experience weighs heavily in the selection process. Hours: works evenings & weekends.
