Welcome to KENWOOD COVE! Kenwood Cove is currently closed for the year. We will reopen on Saturday, May 25, 2013. See you then!

Marginal Weather Opening Policy

Kenwood Cove will open if the air temperature is 72 degrees or warmer and the sky is clear. On cloudy days, the air temperature must be at least 75 degrees in order to open. Additional factors such as water temperature and the forecast for the day will also be taken into consideration. Aquatic staff suggests patrons call ahead to ensure that the facility will be open. Weather conditions will be checked at 8:30am (on Swim Lesson days), at 12:00pm and again at 3:00pm.

Fund Established to Help Kids Enjoy Kenwood Cove

A fund to help low-income children between ages 3 and 17 enjoy Salina’s new aquatic park has been established at the Greater Salina Community Foundation. Donors will receive a receipt for their tax-deductible gift. Those interested in donating may do so by going to the Foundation’s website and entering a credit-card donation to the Pool Fund or by mailing a check to the Foundation at Box 2876, Salina, KS 67402-2876.

Make checks payable to the Greater Salina Community Foundation and write Pool Fund in the memo line. The Foundation will pass donated funds to the City of Salina Parks and Recreation Department to pay for admission tickets for eligible children. For more information, contact Betsy Wearing at the Foundation, or Chris Curtis at the City of Salina.
